Belief gives us responsibility. Every day is a war, whether small or large, because a belief that you hold determines your entire mindset, which determines the actions that follow—or at least should.
The beliefs that shape my life:
Jesus died to save us.
God wants a relationship with us.
Children should be treasured.
Teenagers should be poured into.
Everyone should be given chances.
Love should be given freely.
Apologies should be given freely.
Generosity should be given freely.
Men should love the women they're with completely and faithfully.
Women should respect their husbands, and have passion for things outside of their marriage.
Prayer is important.
Quiet time is important.
Obedience is important.
Respect should be automatic.
Having friends of the same sex is really important for growth and support.
Joy is found in being producers, not consumers.
Material things do not equal love.
